Terrazzo Polish & Double Quartz Broadcast System | OLPH

We’re proud to showcase one of our recent projects: a 4,100 sq. ft. Terrazzo polish and 2,876 sq. ft. Double Quartz Broadcast System at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. This historic parish has served its community for generations, and we were honored to help restore its timeless flooring.

About Terrazzo

Terrazzo is a classic flooring choice known for its strength, elegance, and longevity. Made from marble, quartz, granite, or glass chips set in cement or epoxy, it can last for decades with minimal maintenance.

Key benefits include:

  • Durability: Handles heavy use for years.

  • Low Maintenance: Easy to clean and care for.

  • Eco-Friendly: Long lifespan means fewer replacements.

  • Timeless Design: Complements both traditional and modern architecture.

Terrazzo Polish Process

Our team carefully restored 4,100 sq. ft. of Terrazzo flooring through a multi-step process:

  1. Grinding: Removed old coatings and prepared the surface.

  2. Honing: Smoothed and refined the finish.

  3. Densification: Strengthened the floor for lasting durability.

  4. Polishing: Used fine resin pads to achieve a bright, even sheen.

  5. Surface Protection: Applied a guard to resist stains and wear.

The result: a vibrant, reflective floor that enhances the sanctuary’s sacred and welcoming atmosphere.

Additional Enhancements

The project expanded to include new concrete altar and podium stages and a resinous Double Quartz Broadcast System for added beauty and performance.

Stage Construction:

  • Altar Stage: Two 7” rises and one 11” run (13’x11’ footprint).

  • Podium Stage: 36”x42” with a 7” height.

Quartz Broadcast System:
Installed over 2,876 sq. ft. with multiple protective layers, including:

  • Bond primer

  • Polyaspartic coatings with decorative quartz

  • Grout and urethane topcoat (satin sheen)

  • Integral cove base for a seamless, durable finish

This system provides both aesthetic appeal and long-term durability, perfectly complementing the polished Terrazzo.

A Lasting Investment

From the Terrazzo polish to the new quartz broadcast flooring, this project renewed the church’s beauty and functionality. We’re grateful for the opportunity to help preserve such a meaningful space—and proud to deliver results that will last for decades to come.
