A concrete coating is a decorative, high-quality concrete finishing technique that creates a seamless, durable surface over a concrete slab. With an appearance similar to terrazzo, our flake concrete coatings are attractive and provide lasting quality.

Concrete Coating Installation Process

Chattanooga Floor Care’s installation process begins with surface preparation, which is key for any finish. Our field technicians use professional grinding techniques to reach the optimal Concrete Surface Profile (CSP), or the roughness of a concrete surface, required for high-build coatings. Proper griding ensures that your new floor will adhere properly and last for years to come.

Additionally, our field technicians repair old cracks and damage before applying new coatings.

Once the surface is at the appropriate CSP using a diamond grinder, field technicians apply three layers of finish: 

• Primer/receiver coat with the base color to match the chosen flake

• Broadcast UV-resistant flake into the primer coat that is cured

• A top coat that is UV-, chemical-, and abrasion-resistant

The result is a beautiful, resurfaced floor that provides a smooth, seamless finish.
